Not every one is concentrating on things other than their own driving. I occasionally miss seeing another Vette driver wave and I've been doing the wave for over 40 years.

I had a guy in a C4 pull up next to me the other day, I had my window down and he had no tint. I looked over and waved and he couldn't even bother himself to even look in my direction. My experience with the wave so far is C4 owners seem the least likely to ever wave.

You may have missed the tongue in the OP's cheek. I don't think he expected someone who was doing 140 to wave as he went by.

Not the end of the world if a few drivers don't wave. Nice if they do, it carries on the tradition, but many (especially new owners) may not be aware of the wave or they simply are busy keeping their eyes on the road.
