C7 driver didn't wave back..

Waved to a C4 kid yesterday as he waved back. He caught me by surprise and I still had a food wrapper in my hand so while I clutched that with three of my fingers, I opened up the forefinger and thumb to wave........Uh....I accidentally gave him the "L" for Loser!!
If you're out there buddy, it was an accident!!!

... personally I really don't care, if they wave first I'll wave back but if not I don't get butt hurt about it
There are times when you can recognize that another Corvette owner doesn't understand the brotherhood history of the legend that they drive.
I used to get a little annoyed way back in the day, but not so much now, lol !! Even after all the years of participating in the 'Wave' ritual, it still has it's awkward moments when you initiate the wave and realize it's chick driving and they give you, 'that returned glare', like your doing something wrong or trying to hook up, but not every the time !!

I'm not buying it.
Rarely does a C4 driver fail to wave... but of course, I'm also driving a C4.
I can't comment about C7 drivers, I haven't seen enough of them to draw a conclusion.
The 'chance of wave percentage' probably depends on the individual driver. But, my non-scientific observations lead me to also conclude that the newer the Vette (for now excluding C7's) the less chance there is of a wave, to me.
I have pulled right up next to C5s and C6s, and looked over at the drivers; most of the time they don't acknowledge another Vette is next to them. Not all, but most; the other day a C5 pulled up behind me, I gave him the wave and he waved right back.
Younger drivers also seem less likely to wave.
Is there some kind of protocol for the wave? Should the driver of the newer Vette wave first? I always thought it didn't matter. See Vette, wave at Vette.
Regardless, I don't let it bother me. If they don't wave back, it's no big deal.
