Default Windshield shades

Does a windshield sun shade exist that does not flake off all over the inside of the car?

I've had a number of these custom-fit units - initially for my 4runner (small windshield) then I got one for my bro-in-laws F250 then recently I got one for my C5. They last about 2-3 years then the stitching will start to give way - I have done some duct-tape-reinforcement in the past that can get another year or 2 out of them...

Thanks. I just ordered the one CQRT recommended.

JJC, yours was about the same price but too many bad reviews about them not fitting well on Corvettes.

I have this one and it works great. Have had it for five years with none of the issue you describe.

I ended up getting one of these that folds for $35:
Amazon.com: 2005-2013 Corvette Windshield Sunshade with C6 Logo: Automotive Amazon.com: 2005-2013 Corvette Windshield Sunshade with C6 Logo: Automotive

I didnt care for the rollup ones. I know i know it has the c6 flags but you can turn it around and its all silver and it fits the window fine. The C5 logo was $70-$85

The covercraft shade from auto anything looks nice as well.

I use a piece of metalized bubble wrap insulation like what is used for insulating the cockpit or center tunnel, cut to fit the size and contour of the windshield, and it works great and rolls up so you can toss it in the back.
I also cut a piece of that to fit under my dash carpet to try and keep the dash cool, as it gets really hot even underneath that carpet.

Mine's from covercraft. Very sturdy. Never an issue. A bit pricier than some. You get what you pay for, maybe?

Here is my cover for my vert. I use it anytime the car sits more than one hour. It takes just a few minutes to put on. Several site vendors offer it. I bought mine from Ecklers.
