Been a while. Finally got heads back from valve job. They have motor together in cradle, car on lift, getting ready to put them back together. All needed parts to finish are on hand. Maybe Friday
Ok, looked it up myself. Comp has many different type cores. The part number for my cam is 54-448-11. If you look at their core chart the "54"stands for "steel billet"
Just left shop. Going back later tonight to pick er up! Sounds really good. A bit more lumpy at idle than before and hits harder. He wants me to drive it about 500 miles before he gets into tuning it. He put a base tune with only 20 degrees of timing and at 4200 rpm it put down 348 hp to the tires. I don't know how that extrapolates out but that sounds good to me. A stock LS6 does around that at 7k. Will make a idle vid.
Have a short idle vid but Photo Bucket won't let me post. Tried uploading to U Tube and I can't seem to get a account established......LOL.......anyway, can someone assist? Sounds really good imho.
