Default 1999 c5 active handling problem

Specs- 28,000 mi1999 c5 frc, vortech v2 blower, SW full exhaust, 4.10 gears, trans diff brace, rear poly bushings, vara ram air, tires are 275/40/17 front, 305/35/18 back on car.

Problem- Hey guy, my active handling system randomly trips when driving my car, despite any particular type of driving.

Questions- My rear tires are .75in taller than the front. Could my tires be setting it off? I have read about the EBCM, could it be this? Where is the ebcm located on my car, and does anybody know a place that refurbs these? Could my susp mods be enough to need rtd stimulators?

Thanks,

Ty

If you have never pulled codes before here is how:

I suggest that the next time this event occurs you pull over and pull the codes BEFORE you shut off the engine. To pull codes with the engine running you MUST first use the reset button to clear all messages displayed in the DIC. Then pull codes as normal. Some codes can be lost when the engine is shut off. Additionally most codes that show as C or Current with the engine running will show as H or History with the engine off.

The EBCM for the 1997 - 2000 C5's cannot be repaired. The EBCM and SWPS are two of the parts that are no longer available new fo the early year cars. If either has problems the ONLY option you have is to find a used part to replace the failing part. Right now prices for either used are pretty much "what the market will bear".
With the diagnostic steps.

There are other probable causes beside the ECBM itself. Grounds are a common cause. Do a search you will find info on how to clean/repair grounds.

I was having a similar issue stock Y2K vert. ABS and Traction control lights came on the dash and messages on the DIC when I hot a good sized bump or driving on a very rough road surface. I could clear them by resetting the codes or the dash lights would clear themselves if i stopped and restarted the car.

It turns out that one of my speed senor wires was bad. Had it changed out, so far so good. ( Hope I didn't jinx myself )

I saw a post about disconnecting the swps plug to deactivate AH. If I do this, will it show up on my hud display as "check gauges", can it be cleared off the instrument display, and would it keep my car from randomly burping active handling saying "engine shut down, service active handling system?

thanks,

Ty
