Well now the fitment issues reared their heads. My local contact called me back after speaking with John @ CCW. John is concerned about the tire size I plan on running and about my expectations. My short list:
Not stick out of wheel well.
Clear C6Z brakes.
Apparently the shorter lip for big brake versions sit about 4-5mm, or approx 1/2" as my guy was told to inform me, farther OUT than stock ZO6 wheels.
We went back and forth for most of today and at the end of the day, I said this. Take the tire out of the picture. That can be manipulated (E.T. Street Radial is notoriously wide, NT05 runs a little narrow) as well as ride height clearance issues. If the wheel sits flush or just inside the top outer crown of the wheel well like the stock one, we're good. If it sticks out, no good.
More to come on Monday. Does ANYONE with 18x9.5 fronts and 19x11 rears with the big brake clearance setup (1" front lip, 2" rear lip) have profile shots looking straight down the side to show protrusion from the wheel well at all?

that's odd coming straight from John, I talked to him directly when I ordered mine and he never mentioned anything like that... I have c6z brakes as well with 19x9.5 front and 19x11 rear and they are perfect... tires are 275/35/19 invos up front and 305/35/19 nto5r's in the rear... he mentioned that I would lose an inch of lip from each wheel but never said anything about the wheel sticking out more than it normally would
I do not have a shot of the side of my C5Z but my CCW wheels do not stick out at all. Not sure about your tire issue, I am running Michelin Pilot Super Sports 265/30/19 fronts and 305/30/19 rears.
My wheels have the following specs:
Front - 1" lip - 19" x 9.5" with back spacing of 7.30" and an offset of 52
Rears - 2" lip - 19" x 11" with back spacing of 8.15" and an offset of 64
I dealt directly with CCW and these wheels with the above specifications are supposed to clear a big brake kit including the C6 parts.
I guess CCW has changed their selling method they never used dealers before.
I you really need a picture let me know and I can dig the car out and take a shot. But again they do not sick out at all.

Good luck.
Thanks guys. This is what I was anticipating. I have a feeling the reaction was due to my being very specific as to the requirements. I'll touch base with my guy and have the order put through.
As for going through a dealer, I don't mind doing that. He's a buddy of mine and it's a very reputable shop here in town. I spoke with John once and after I got off the phone felt as if I'd been a mere distraction with my questions. Plus going through the dealer saved me a few bills.
When ordering my T-10's before Weld come into the picture, John sent me photos of other C5's with the wheels and tires I was wanting.
THat really helped out.
Well, CCW was given the go-ahead with the order as requested today. And I just got done ordering $1K worth of C6Z calipers tonight too. Figure I'll just do it all at once. Then a before/after weight comparison between the brakes and wheels to see how much weight I shaved (planning two piece rotors, NOT the anchor weight stock C6Z rotors).

You won't have any regrets. Indeed, CCW's are a chunk of change but you will always love these wheels! I've had my SP500's since 2008 and I still love 'em.

Not only that, but if for some reason you need to sell them you can recoup a decent chunk of change.

Love my 505A's, they make the car.
, I'm on my second set... first set I sold within a week and I'm actually thinking about selling my current ones if I can get a deal on some forgelines I have been looking at

I do have to say that the Forgeline stuff had me drooling with their custom finishes. If I could have CCW's sent to Forgeline for one of their "optional" finishes, I'd be in heaven, lol.

a good powdercoater should be able to take care of that no problem... my reason for wanting to switch is due to the sizes, I want to run a 17 in the back so I can get a tire with a little sidewall on it while still being around 26" in diameter so it won't kill the gearing and as I'm sure you know ccw doesn't offer a 17 in most of their wheels

Sean, I see you haven't wasted much time getting back into the fray of going into the "mod mode", after a CF hiatus, Lol! Look forward to seeing some pics of those wheels mounted.
No...I never hestitated...Found what I like and pulled the trigger. The problem is having enough money at the time of getting bit by the "I need to have that" bug. I know you understand that well...
