Since you have lived with a c7 and a c5, how do you compare the interior space of the 2 as for as usability? In other words, can the c7 hold it's own when it comes to a long trip with baggage involved? The c5 I have can move quite a bit of stuff when packaged correctly. By the way, a great looking example of a c5 you picked up!
Something to consider: When my flasher unit went out, I moved the wiring harness for it down into the driver's footwell and snapped on the new unit. Then I put the old unit snapped back on the button just as a placeholder. The new one peeks out from the plastic on the tunnel.
This way, when/if the unit goes out again, I won't have to remove the console/radio etc again.....just snap - snap and done!
Sad to see U depart from the C7 but you got a like-new vette again with those miles. Nothing wrong with that.
I'm in the market for a C7 OR another C5Z. But I refuse to pay the going rate on a usd 14 or 15 Coupe. 14's were bought, for the most part, at MSRP which now results in asking prices not that far off from a 1LT '16 (w/a good discount). By the time the 9-10% discounts kicked in on the 15's the price of new had climbed as well. Factor in near 30K in options and before U know it you bought you got a major major purchase, + tax, new or used.
The C5Z may not be a C7 but they are still holding strong on value and appeal.
Congrats on new car. Hate you had to give up your C7, but still in the Vette family!
I would love to have a C7, but just cannot justify 60-70K for a weekend car.
Congratulations on the upgrade back to a C5 - sex trumps muscle!
Now you have me wondering about my Hazard Flasher... my 2001 has been my DD for 15 years and I have never pressed that button! Never honked my horn either (yet).
If I had a C7 and had to give it up I'd be sad about it for sure. But owning a C5 keeps you in the upper 1% of cars. Congratulations on finding a beauty. It's a great color and with those low miles you'll get lots of years out of it if you want to.
First off OP that is a beautiful car! I am just curious if its a M6 or A4.
Next thing is I have an 03 Electron Blue Z and the color is much darker than that. I am not sure if its the sun or you have a La Mans Blue C5...I may be wrong and if I am I want to be corrected.
