Default A First

For the first time in the twelve years I have owned my car I used the horn. A guy pulled out to make a left hand turn right in front of me at highway speed.

I actually locked up the tires, something that perhaps surprised me. And on top of that when I leaned on the horn the SOB gave me the finger.

By the way, I have never heard a more wimpy horn than what is in this car. Almost embarrassing.

I agree the horns are anemic. Glad you were paying attention.

Funny how people who made the mistake are the ones offended. Unfortunately, this just emphasizes they weren't paying attention and have no clue they screwed up.

Might want to check that both horns are working. I had one go out and it sounded like you said. Got it fixed and it was fine.

Thanks for the idea that the horn may just not be work correctly. I will check it out.

My insurance company has denied my claim for a new pair of shorts.

You must have not incurred enough damage to justify "totaling" the shorts. They must, at least, repair them to their state at the time of the incident. I would assume a good washing, softener, and dry. Though you do not mention the need for any mending. Not sure of your deductible or the age of the shorts. Maybe you will want to just take care of it directly rather than file a claim.

I think the membrane failed on my horn because the alarm/horn would sound as the car was parked in the garage, so loud I just pulled the fuse. Sounds like only one horn works on yours, both should work

I am sooooo tired of guys who are the ones doing the screw up, giving the finger. I just don't get that.

Yep, or give a dirty look, curse you, etc., Because they are too ignorant to know they have done something wrong. Or the type that does whatever they want, regardless of how inconsiderate, or immoral, yet they cry foul when someone calls them on it, shames them, or tells others. Most are too afraid to take a stand anymore, even to blow the horn. I use mine a lot, others should too, how else will the poor drivers know they are doing something wrong, and it needs to be corrected.

The horn is loud, but hard to activate IMO. I have hurt my hand several times trying to hit the middle hard.

Good to know, that's been slowly getting under my skin. Haven't messed with the DIC much because every time I get behind the wheel with the keys on, I can't seem to stop myself from driving it!
