When traveling I use a Kenu air vent mount.

Available at Apple http://www.apple.com/shop/product/HF...phone?fnode=46 and at Brookstone and other locations.

When just running around the phone lives in the cup holder.

Get treatment for your addiction so you can leave your phone turned OFF (and in your pocket) while you are driving, like it should be, so you won't be a danger to others while you are on the road!!!!!

Do you realize that distracted driving is now killing more innocent people than drunk driving?!?!?!?

Turn it off and pay attention to your driving!!!!!

I bought a few of these for different vehicles:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...+disk&_sacat=0

In the C5, I removed the rubber liner form the POS factory cup holder, and put a disk in there.

Then I mounted this to the disk:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/scosche-...&skuId=9701223

It works great, and all you need to do is basically throw the phone at it and it sticks. No pesky arms/springs to deal with.

I think I'm going to try one of these out when I upgrade to the 6s in the fall.

I got that same kind of vent mount for $4.95 from either Monoprice or Meritline.com, I don't remember which. I think the price recently went up to $11.95, probably because they became popular. They work OK, can fit many sizes of things (like an iPod or GPS) in there and it holds fairly well. I mostly use it for an iPod holder on a long trip when I don't want to leave the thing on the seat or in the ash tray area.
If you are planning on talking into the phone in that thing, there can be a lot of wind noise from the AC vent that gets into the phone, so you have to remove it from there anyway. If you want to use the phone as a GPS, that's OK, but that uses up a lot of cell time unless you are on an unlimited service plan.

Another really inexpensive choice is a rubber band through the vents wrapped around the top and bottom of the phone. (lol).

And what's the matter with your pocket? Do you have to look at the phone? It's not easy to make calls with the phone in there and you should wait 'till you stop anyway. If you just want to be able to answer the phone, get a bluetooth headset - it solves the hands-off requirement and works a lot better.

But some people just have to solve a problem that doesn't, or really shouldn't, exist. I just can't see spending a lot of money on something like that when there are so many other things to buy.

Car is in speedshop; maybe end of week.

It works really well though. The arm flexes anywhere you need it, and I usually position it about 1" to the right of the shifter when in 5th gear.

I have those disks stuck to the dashes of my Chevy 2500HD and my Ford F350. I HATE having something on the windshield, and that arm being about 9" long puts it just about anywhere I need it.

Here is a pic of it on my Silverado. You get the idea. The metal piece is stuck inside of my phone's case. (Phone out of case to take picture)

Be aware, most of those types of docks do not work with any sort of phone case. Most of us have phone cases.

The system I linked above actually takes advantage of your phone case, as the magnetic piece mounts inside your case.

And I use my phone for GPS (Waze app is awesome), which is perfectly legal and legit. Some users even tag weather on the app, which is helpful as the last thing I like is getting caught in a pop-up storm when I'm in my Vette.

Good point Sidewayz.. I don't have a case on my current phone, but with a new phone, I might invest in a case..

Please post pics of your set up when you get a chance.

I use my phone for NAV, but also for music. I live out in the country, and the stock radio signal isn't that great for me. Add to that a stubby antenna, and it's pretty static-y. So, I ordered the iPad cable from Double D and now have superb tunes!

I dunno - - -that's where I stick my IPhone--- It's obviously not very deep, but works just fine . . .and use a Bluetooth ear piece.
