Default what about headers

Hey guys...I have an 02 convertible with airaid intake, corsa extreme, auto with 3:15 gear...I don't auto cross or track it but I do enjoy some spirited acceleration from time to time...lol. So my question is how much extra umph will headers give it and will it change the drone-less sound much....I love how it sounds and how there is absolutely no drone at any speed. Thanks in advance for the advice as to what kind is generally preferred for my situation....

Nothing will kill the resale value of a car, quicker than a set of headers. My opinion only.

Is this real life? A set of headers has NO drawbacks whatsoever. Intake/headers/exhaust are so easily reversible that even if it did "kill" resale value you could throw the factory stuff back on.

Again, zero drawbacks from headers, decent gain.

I have Corsa Xtreme, no cats with headers and there is still no drone at any speed. I just put the headers on 2 weeks ago. It is MUCH MUCH louder when I get on it though. I love it. On the highway cruising it is still quiet. I did Texas Speed headers.

Good thing, because there are going to be a lot of people that will disagree with you. Adding a set of headers should not affect the resale value of your car. HP increases will vary by the brand of header, but generally a 10-15 HP bump can be expected and if you tune the car (recommended), you'll get even more power.

There are lots of good brands out there - LG, Kooks, AR and more. Huron Speed also sells a good header aystem for the car. Just depends on how much you want to spend. And with the Corsa system, you should not have any drone.

As long as you hang on to the original equipment, I guess the headers are a non-issue in terms of resale. But I also question whether the increase in horsepower is really useable or even discernable for a daily driver considering the money spent.

Obviously, your car- your call.

Agree with the others that headers are not going to kill resale value. However, I don't think they will add much to resale value either. There will be a HP bump from headers but it'll vary on what your set up is. With me, running a supercharger, a new tune and Kooks headers, I picked up around 30 RWHP. Best of luck with you decision.
