Hey I was sooo stressed out thinking about what could happen to my Corvette (caught in hail) I used the wrong fare...ooops sorry.
No worries.
I'm starting to think hail is a non-issue unless you're in the kind of storm where the word "tornado" might enter the conversation at some point. Otherwise it's probably too small to worry about.
Yea the hail i got hit with in was golf ball size. About three hail ***** to the dollar bill. It was amazing to see the damage to other cars. My vette and another buddies vette had no issues.
hail should have little to no effect on a Corvette
IN 1973 MY FRIEND HAD A NEW FORD GRAND TORINO AND 64 CORVETTE , PARKED ALONG SIDE ONE ANOTHER IN FRONT OF HIS HOUSE. HAIL STORM DAMAGED THE HOOD,ROOF, AND TRUNK OF THE FORD BUT NO DAMAGE AT ALL TO THE CORVETTE.
No... But I'm sure you can tell us all about earthquakes and things falling on cars.
I had a motorcycle fall over on my 66 Mustang and put a nice size dent in the door. Not sure about other people in CA, but after going through 2 earthquakes, I've taken precautions like having locking cabinets and securing things that fall on a car, etc. Like Earthquakes, you can't predict one, just like hail, but at least with Earthquakes you can take precautions to avoid damage, depending on how strong the earthquake is of course. Not much you can do if the house is on the ground or floating in the Pacific Ocean.
Ouch! that one hurt! OK guys I get it Go to C5's for Sale, I'm including my house in CA... Where can I move that has the most hail?
Come on over to Calgary Alberta, Canada...hail capital of the country if not whole North America. Lots of winter and mosquito's too. I am sure there would be a line up to trade places with you from the North side of the 49th. I like to think we all have location issues....do I hear rain outside or is it HAIL? GOTTA GO, BYE!!!

Maybe I'll stay and take the Earthquakes every so often. On second thought, we have 9.5% sales tax, high property tax, $4.50 a gallon gas, and idiot for a governor, and San Francisco... on second thought maybe Canada is looking much better?

If you're gonna fight (re taxes), don't fight with Canadians.
12% sales tax in BC
High property taxes also
More like $5/gallon for gas (regular)

I worked in Calgary years ago for a year and the worst hail storm I have ever seen hit us on the job site.
Totalled all our pick ups, knocked most of the glass out of two backhoe's and gave a few of us lumps on the head while running for cover. I'm not kidding! When it was over we gathered up a few pails of stones and took them back to our motel room, dumped them in the tub and stuck all our beer in. Had a big pissup since the job was shut down due to weather for a couple of days.
Seen another real bad one just north in Edmonton a month later.
