I test drove an anniversary edition z06 last night and really liked it. I do have one question however. When accelerating hard, upon shifting the car veered right suddenly. Is this a result of the "active Handling" It was definitely more a steering feel than a tailhappy feeling. It happened twice when I did relatively hard pulls.
Mine "veers" really quickly straight ahead when I do that.
Alignment out, worn bushings somewhere..? Others more intelligent than I in this regard will chime in.

thanks,
How many miles and what kind of wheels/tires? What shape are the tires in?
Could be an alignment issue, worn shocks, or wheels/tires.
Never have this problem on my 03 Z06. I would experience wheel hop on take off acceleration before the Michelin Pilot SS tires. No issues now.
Agree that straight is the right answer here. While still probably classified a newbie in the Z06 world (third Vette; but just a few months w/ my '03 Z), I think pulling anywhere but forward would cause me concern.

Car has just 30,000 miles. Stock wheels. I cant remember what the tires are. It happened twice when clutch depressed on hard acceleration which confirmed to me that it wasnt driver-caused. I'll have a ppi performed before I get too serious. Its black on black and its local to me so it would be great if it checks out
