Radio and Amp
Can anybody tell me what the light by the volume **** on the radio is for mine wont light up also how can I tell if my Amp works I have better sound out of my 1999 Explorer .My vette is a 2003 bought it from origanal owner THANKS for any help.

This will tell you about the light. If it flashes when you remove the ignition key it means the Security Lock is activated. If the display will show it should be activated and the light does not work as I described the light may be bad or something else.

Sound quality is so subjective I can't help you. You need to sit in another C5 and compare.
Is it unsatisfactory with the radio and CD?
There are no dash DIC codes for the Entertainment system so that will not help.
If you compare with another C5 and it is apparent yours has a problem then get back with us and we can see what is going on. It would likely be either the radio or the Bose signal processor.

I upgraded my speakers in our 04 vert to Kicker replacements...
and also used adapters to hook up a 30 pin Ipod cable and then bought a 30 pin receiver for Bluetooth.... so now I have the options for Bluetooth from my Android, Ipod, CD, or radio... and the interior still looks bone stock... If I didn't live in near the KICKER headquarters and feel I should support them I would have probably upgraded to Polk Audio speakers...
but, the quality is much better and after some serious sound deadning it has plenty of power and a nice clean sound...
