MPH light in speedo

MPH light in speedo
Still trying to chase down my erratic lighting problem (brakes on and LED DRL's cut out). I noticed that in the speedo is an MPH light that seems to be lit all the time (regardless of the position of the dash-dim switch). Is this normal? Thinking that maybe one has something to do with the other.
Also when I apply the brakes I hear a faint click of a relay in the passenger compartment - sounds like it could be under the console? Maybe something funky with the brake light relay?

When did this start happening with the DRLs? Put the OEM bulbs back in and see if it still does it.
Does the MPH light go off when you turn the ignition OFF and pull the key?
There is no brake light relay but the DRL relays are in the I/P fuse box.

Spent some more time on this - it does seem to have a tie-in with the dash brightness setting:
Dash dim **** "locked on" (max brightness) - brakes applied
DRLs go out
DIC gets brighter
Speedo/tach backlight gets brighter
Clock gets brighter
Climate control backlights get brighter
Temp indicator (cabin) gets brighter
Dash dim **** at about 50% - brakes applied
DRLs go out
DIC gets dimmer (compare to above)
Speedo/tach backlight gets dimmer (compare to above)
Clock gets dimmer (compare to above)
Climate control backlights get brighter
Temp indicator (cabin) gets dimmer (compare to above)

I have LED DRL, front marker lamps, side marker lamps, halo brake lights, license plate light, reverse light.
I installed the hyperflash harness.
I saw that the tail lights had a "resistor assembly" integrated on the back so I've added no additional resistors.
I heard back from Radio Flyer - he wants me to pull a fuse then retest.
