The driver side mirror will not stay in set position on my 2004. Sometimes it jumps all around before it settles in the wrong position. Resetting in desired position doesn't work. Any ideas. It is only the driver side mirror.

Same here. Was thinking of just setting it and disconnecting the mirror. (If that's possible.)
Yes, you can unplug the connection for the mirror in the door.
The mirror can still be adjusted with no power. You just need to press on the glass. You will hear a little noise internally but if you don't do it every time you get in the car you should not have a problem.
I just changed my regulators, didn't think about disconnecting it then. Doh!
Thanks.
Yeah, that's the way life works.
If you have Memory, try disconnecting the 4 pin/cavity connector and see if that fixes it before you depower it entirely. It is a separate connector for the position sensors. It will be at the door module.
I would be very interested in that. You can leave the door panel off for a while to test it out.
