PRT'S, Very little drone. Around 1500 rpm. You'll get use to it, because the sound the rest of the time is great. I get a lot of compliments on the sound of the PRT'S
I drove from Maine to Baltimore and back twice this summer with my new Borla Stingers (2400+ total miles) I opted to not install the X-pipe. There was absolutely no drone....just that great mid 60s throaty exhaust note and super gas mileage (80 gallons of gas for 2400+ miles). Love my stingers !

Billy Boat PRTs are pretty good . . .I have the Route 66 on my C5 and C6 and there's no drone, but they're also not very loud - - -the PRT's have a great exhaust note.

what mods do you have done to your car?... that can be a factor to consider... corsa xtremes don't drone, I had them when my car was bone stock besides the xtremes and it is now highly modded and still sounds great with no drone
I had prt's before I moved up to 3 inch and agree with Frank on the no drone part. I would also look into the Corsa Extremes, if neutron gave a good review then that's worth a close look. I currently have LG big 3's and they came with 4 tips but the passenger side tips were welded crooked so I had my muffler shop cut them up and just leave two tips. They droned before I had them altered now they don't at all.
I found it interesting. I just purchased the Borla Stingers and was calling around to various muffler shops asking what they charge to install them. One of the popular muffler shops stated, "since you have Borla's, it will be about 1 hour charge of $65. If you had Corsa's or other, I'd charge you more. We never have issues with Borla exhaust and fitting properly. The others can be difficult to install." I actually had a quote of $350 to install the exhaust system. Another quoted me $250 and said he would recommend I take it to a expert Corvette mechanic to install the system because you have to lower the sub frame on the car to get the exhaust out. What???? I never heard that before... I'll be checking with a friend who has a lift, perhaps the both of us will be able to lower the subframe. What ever that is???

I guess that makes me an expert Corvette mechanic...
I have both removed and installed exhausts in my garage on Jack stands...not to mention a cam swap....
come on man...its not difficult....

You do not need to lower the subframe to remove/install the aftermarket or stock exhaust. Muffler shops should charge $50-$100 to do it on a lift. If you have an Auto, there is a small cover plate on the passenger side that has to be removed. I've done this in my garage on jackstands, and you do have to raise the back of the car up scary high, but with the right stuff, it's not bad at all. I've done it over 3 times now, after I finally decided on Corsa Extremes, and it takes about 45 minutes or so. I also found a loading dock around the corner that worked too.
