Default Front bumper help 2002

I seem to be missing a scoop or dam (for lack of the correct words) that fits into the front side of the air hole in the chin of the front bumper. The regular rear air dam is all there and working, but this piece fits the front side of the hole. All the mounting holes are there.

I've found photos of it, and my son's 2001 has it. I can't find a part number anywhere and nothing seems to be showing up on any of the exploded views I've seen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't have a GM dealer closeby, so I'm probably going to get this online and need the right part #

Thanks for any help,
Dave

These are the components of the front air dam. Are you missing the center section?

Or are you talking about this big plastic piece that directs air to radiator?

The air dam is all there, I already replaced the three pieces. I think your pic shows the piece I need. It fits across the whole width of the nose cutout and directs air so that it can't fill the inside of the nose and go up over the radiator into the engine compartment. The mounting holes (5 of them) are on the front edge of the opening and a couple more along the sides. I guess I've been running around without it for the last 13 years. Doesn't seem to cause a problem but you would get a little better flow over the radiator with it in place.

Anyone owning a C5 can easily feel the piece with their hand if they can still get down on their knees.

OK, here's the hole for those who don't know the hole. The piece I need goes across the front edge where the mounting holes are.

You are missing the whole piece. Funny your car doesn't overheat. Unless the fans run all the time. I don't know the part description or part number, but I doubt if GM carries them anymore. You might have to check the Corvette salvage sites.

The car has never overheated and the fan runs normally. Plus, I live in the desert and it gets hot here. Note that I don't have a stock air cleaner or intake, but a Halltech/K&N. I can make a piece out of glass if I have to, but would be easier if I didn't have to make a mold. Maybe a winter project.

You need some skid plates on your fangs.

Thanks! That photo doesn't look like the right piece though. The shape isn't correct. Maybe that's the top side.

That looks like the right part to me (top view). You could always install a Hurricane Intake like I did -it comes with a new custom shroud...

Hi,
Looks like you could also use some Fangs to protect your lower radiator support. Here is some info on them.

Thanks

I finally put the ones I got from you guys a couple of years ago while I had it up on the lift yesterday. My fangs weren't too beat up since I'm careful, but the covers are a great addition and good product.

Thanks for making them!
