I used some body undercoating on mine. Similar to Plasti-dip. So far it has held up just fine.

Sorry, I use a combination of some small splash guards and some 3M clear bra protective film on the sides of the car.

There are several film companies that have a protective film. Personally, I'd rather see the color of the car over the dip stuff.

Where have you been? Not meaning to sound like i am talking down to you, but any familiarity with the PlastIDip threads on this forum should answer that concern.
Good luck with your project.

Plasti-dip is perfectly safe for auto paint finishes. I use it on my vette and wheels and have had no negitive effects what so ever. The only issue I have ever heard about is if you use it over now clear coated decals it can pull them off the car when you remove the plasti dip and some people with white cars have reported a red tint left on the car after removal but it will fade away back to normal in a few days(very rare cases of happening in the first place)

Check out youtube for dip your car. There are many demo videos showing you how to use it safely and properly for the best results. Have fun with it!
