Default Damp Rid

I've learned a lot from the folks on this forum and this is a suggestion that many of you if not all of you may know already. I keep my 02 covered and in a storage unit that is not climate controlled. I've found that putting a canister of Damp Rid in the floorboard of the car keeps the interior dry and eliminates that stale smell that comes from letting the car sit for a couple weeks. I have a feeling it also keeps the interior from getting that sticky feel so many on this forum complain about. I don't have that issue.

You can get it at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes or most grocery stores in the aisle with the cleaning supplies.

I buy the 2 pack small buckets. One lasts for several months depending on the humidity.

I also put a bar of Irish Spring soap in the car-suppose to keep out mice.

Trust me on this, mice and rats will eat soap, any soap. It's the fat. Maybe American mice like Ivory better though!

I've used Damp Rid for years. In the house, in a damp basement and even in my gun cabinet......great product. I've never tried it in a stored Corvette. Nice tip.
