Default Wanting torch red interior, help please.

I have an older vette. It's a 97 C5 Torch red, and we'll taken care of. However the interior is all black and boring. I've seen a lot of pictures of red dashes and door panels, but I can't locate any anywhere. Does anyone know where to buy it, or how do it that can point me in the direction of some DIY videos?

Talk to SFC Rick - he used SEM paint/dye to color his interior torch red, but I do not know what color it was originally.

Other than that, you could always post up a wanted to buy thread in the C5 Parts for Sale section and see if someone has a TR interior they would sell or swap for yours.

I have a torch red c5 coupe with black interior also. What you may want to consider is adding some torch red accents to your interior. If you go to the RPI designs website and look under C5 interior parts, they have torch red door handle wraps, leather arm rest covers with a stitched c5 logo, torch red lettering to place in your passenger side corvette logo. And a torch red custom made waterfall with c5 emblem that looks like the waterfall that comes in the convertibles. These items will really make your interior pop and contrast well with the black. I bought a waterfall and Love it! These items will cost less and be easier to install than replacing your entire interior.

Agreed, no one better to talk with than SFC Rick. He is THE bonifide expert in torch red interiors. He's done things no one else even considered.

Mid America..... I've had these for at least 12 years...they held up extremely well...about 85000 miles of seat time. under 1000 dollars for all nine pieces. seats, console, ebrake, shifter, traction control surround piping, handles.

Some one asked me for a recent picture of my drivers seat, about 2 months ago...so I went out to the garage took a picture and posted it .

this is that picture, seats are at least 12 years old, as are the Lloyds mats. and at least 85,000 to 90,000 of the 100K that are on the car.. Note the new nav screen is in the photo..

If you take care of things , they last a long time... like my 16 year old car with 100K.

Here's a link to a thread documenting what I did (black to mod red)...

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...dye-paint.html

...I also rebuilt the seats with sport seat foam from Vette Essentials and seat covers and other misc pieces from DJ Motorsports.

ET's interior looks great! You will also see a pic of SFC Rick's insane red interior in the thread above.

Default I started on it

I didn't do much, mainly just petty things. But it looks alot better I think. I'm supposed to get the leather wrapped steering wheel cover tomorrow that is black and red.

You haven't seen a Torch Red interior until you've seen mine. It's progressed over the years starting with SEM Color coat and then added real Red Leather door panels, Dash, A-pillars, steering wheel, and other components. I also recovered the headliner with Torch Red material. The Door panels, A-pillars, steering wheel are from Jack at Redlinegoods, while the Dash is from Dennis at DoubleDMods.

^^^

Normally, I don't go for Vettes that have been extensively modded...but Rick hit it out of the park with his C5.
