Just curious about Thanks / Thanked in post which now appear under avatar, hometown location. I just noticed it for first time. Thanks for your responses.
The problem here is that internet brands owns these forums and they also own vBulletin, the forum software company. Every dumb *** gimmick that comes along for these forums gets thrown at all of the internet brands forums eventually.
I like it. It should lower the amount of people who quote a long post with tons of pics etc., just to post a thumbs up pic or say I agree.
nah. people are still going to quote the 12 picture post just to say " I like your wheels" or "where did you get the chrome plated reverse threaded johnson rod?" or whatever caught their eye in one of the 12 pictures. That's never going away.

If used properly, I won't mind the new feature. But now it's like blood in the water with sharks around and everyone is using it for any and all posts. Just take a look at CFOT and you'll see what's going on.
Tomorrow if I have time (sunday) I will thank every thread starter in every section of CF just to show the IB tech savvy dept what a GREAT idea this was.
This new "feature" might have been ok if it was shown as a statistic only on member's profile page (which it is), but to see it on EVERY posting is too much IMO.

I see you don't have one, so, thanks. It appears I even did this wrong. So, sorry, but no thanks, even though you deserve one.

To be honest, I couldn't care less if anyone thanked me for anything I did or said. I'm not one who needs someone else to thank me for what I do. And as for thanking someone else, well I really don't see the need to keep a tally of that. In my opinion, it's rather childish to keep count. But that's just me perhaps.

I would much rather have a trader rating for members AND vendors similar to ls1tech, that is far more useful in my opinion... I don't do facebook so I could care less about that and how it functions
