It has been a great summer with my 2004 c5. However, when I shut the driver's door my AC turns off. Otherwise, it stays on while driving. Does anyone know what causes this? I will pull codes as soon as possible.
I have noticed mine do that as well, car and air running, get out and close door and air shuts off. I bet it is some sort f feature to prevent something. Look forward to response
I find it hard to believe recalibrating the actuators is keeping the HVAC unit from shutting all A/C off when you close the door.
Well, it is true. Tested on two separate drives. When the fuse was pulled and put back in, the corvette went through a series of resets on the dic. Tire pressure was unknown for the beginning of the first test and the AC went though a series of auto states. At first I thought I had made the situation worse, but everything returned to normal. I will report back if anything changes.
A/C settings are part of the seat memory, right? Bad connection at the door making it switch to one of the other two configurations?
I don't think so but i am not a guru but find it hard to think ac and seat memory are related. I had my ac shut off when i opened and closed door twice but haven't tried it lately. It hasn't bugged me to the point of chasing it down. Will b following this

Temperature/mode settings are saved to the seat memory, as are radio tuning/mode for the factory Bose head. People (including me) tend to call it "seat memory", but it's a more general "personalization memory". From the owners manual:
If your vehicle has this feature, MEMORY can store and recall the settings for the driver’s seat position, the outside rearview mirror positions, telescopic steering column (if equipped), radio presets, tone, volume, playback mode (AM/FM, tape or CD), last displayed station, compact disc position and tape direction and the last climate control setting.
