Other than having to by new tires, I can't think of anything bad about going to an 18/19 wheel setup. Just be sure to buy the appropriate width tires to maintain the right stagger front to rear.
I have both 17/18 and 18/19 and the ride is better on the 17/18 with a taller sidewall.
Right now I'm running 275/40/17 98 w and rear is a 295/35/18 99w not sure what the 98w and99 w seem like the front has a bigger wall wish don't look right.car rides ok should I be running some other size I like the 295/35 on the rear.
Personally I would recommend going to 18's front and rear. If you use a 265/35-18 front and a 295/35-18 rear you will have the right sidewall proportions with the rear being a little higher. Your diameters will be correct for the computer too. Many C5 track cars run 18's all around.
it's really just personal preference and how many $$$ you wanna part with. You will see all sizes mentioned used and everybody likes something different. I have been thru several combos and think the 18/18 works best for me. I like a thicker side wall.....kinda old school like that...so that's why I went that way. Good luck!
