Attack of the Mutants
If you've been driving in the rural areas of the great plains lately, you know what time of year it is. It is the time of "The Attack of the Genetically Altered Mutant Grasshoppers".
They huddle silently by the side of the road waiting for the first sight of a freshly washed and waxed vehicle, and then "Oh boy a black Corvette! Bonzai!!! Aim for the front grill! Rat-a-tat-a-tat-ka-splat!!"
Damn, I hate cleaning grasshoppers off the front of the car and they are thick this year. The only thing worse in the midwest than the grasshoppers are the fish fly hatches.

Slight correction jd, those are Kamikaze grasshoppers, not mutant grasshoppers. Good thing too. The Kamikaze grasshoppers just kill themselves trying to clog your aircleaner. The Mutant grasshoppers have superpowers that permit them to leave marks on your paint. I'm doing a study on this and hope to obtain a grant from the government to fund my research. I expect to get around $70K or the price of a new C7 plus tax whichever is higher.

Haven't seen many of the grasshoppers around here yet, but in years past they have been terrible. Not much you can do but clean the car off as soon as possible.
