Default Shift boot for MGW race ****?

Hey guys, just ordered a MGW race ****, I have the newest MGW shifter with a c6 **** right now and my boot is ripped and just is laying there not around the base of the ****, so I want to replace it at the same time.

What shift boot are you guys using with your race **** and how did it install? does it just wrap around the bottom or do you need a clip to hold it onto the ****? I don't have the **** yet so it's hard to visualize but I want to make sure I order the right boot.

Pictures would be great, and where you ordered the boot from. Thanks

You could just take off the ****... pull off your old boot... roll it wrong side out, sew it up with a needle and black thread... then you can trim it to fit the height you want and just zip tie it to the shank of the shifter while it's still turned wrong side out and upside down... then roll the boot back over the shifter... easy and still looks stock.

Hmm I never thought of that. I'm gonna definitely give that a try, thanks

I've seen this mentioned many times but am having a hard picturing these procedure.

Are there pictures showing how this is done?

sorry I didn't take any pics when I did mine... but, when you take it off you'll see how simple it is...I'll try to get some pics of mine at least zip tied...

Here is what it looks like with the boot rolled up over the C6 shifter ****.

Here you can see where I stitched it and what the zip tie to the **** looks like.
I also had to trim about an inch off to make it look right.

Rolled back down and installed...
