Default Another "What is this?"

I have been actively looking for a C5, and have been looking at tons of pictures of cars for sale. I keep seeing two things that I have no idea what they are.

1. In the passenger foot well, just under the glove box and next to the center console there is usually what appears to be a bit of fabric hanging down.

2. On the back of the headrests of many or all of the seats there is a slit with a toggle.

What are these items?

Thanks!

No piece of fabric hanging down on my car in that location. Only thing that comes close is a trim piece that is covered with the same material as the rest of the carpet.

That most likely is the seatback release. Pull up on the small handle and the seat folds forward.

No fabric on mine and the slit is for the seat releas so you can lean it forward.

The fabric may be a piece of a trim cover. It can fall out over time and is usually easily put back by "folding" it towards the center console and tucked under the dash.

It's a small section of trim covered with carpet material. The factory used Velcro to attach it to the metal crossbar directly above it, and the adhesive has come loose, allowing it to hang down.
