Fantastic..I am sure the General would love to hear about this and your adventures along the way. Should contact and let them know about you and your Corvette. Might be on their next commercial and become a celebrity along the way, lol.
I've heard that GM was giving away a new Corvette to anybody with a Vette with more than 500,000 miles
Really haven't had any major issues other than trans rebuilt. So me, it always appeared around 180,000/rebuild that I had issue. With me being the type of driver I was(I hope those days are a little behind), should have went to an after market stronger build trans. I have 2 oil leaks, 1)rear seal and around the intake/throttle body area. Not causing an issue, not having to add any oil before oil change.
Repair/replacement:
1)I've replace the hubs all away around, just because I had to replace 1 that was damaged when Weld Evo rim was damaged. Had to replace that one hub again last year because the bearing created a roar while driving.
2)Top & lower control arms replaced where/when rim damaged.
3)Weld Evo rims replaced(1 damaged custom build no longer available) with Corvette black/polish lips.
4)I replaced the power steering pump/line & rack because both had a small leak.
5)I went to Bilstein Sport shocks(on 3rd set) for perfomance. There after not changed due to needed, just considered mileage on the sets changed.
6)GM updated sway bar end link & prothane bushing upgrade.
7)upgraded sway bar kit
powder coated, paint Z06 calipers and cross drill/slotted rotors.
8)Transmission shift cable replaced(connector/bracket broke at shifter).
9)Seat corvers/cushion/s replaced due to wear/tear with black/tan corvette stitching(replacing with all black w/logo & cushion/s) due to wear/tear. Driver side shows most wear in both situations.
10)Regular maintenance on plugs & wire(at or around 100k). Bosch Platinum+4 Spark Plugs mostly used since available & 1st tune up. Now by default, AC Delco Double Platinum Spark(forgot to tell mechanic already had plugs).
11)Updated coils(not needed, trying to track down misfire). Over 480k on factory.
12)Oxygen sensors(left upstream had code) replaced all since there
13)Belt tensioner wear & tear
14)Left & right door glass(window) due to scratches & tint peel.
15)Power window regulator both, left side failing & right side just because I did the left.
16)Tires(based on mileage causing wear/tear).
17)GM column lock failure(Recall) later updated w/by pass just in case)
18)Replaced ac actuators(plastic gears cracked)
19)Tire rods replaced for miles on.
20)Brake booster/master cylinder for miles on.
21)Harmonic stem & seal(replaced balancer because of miles) no problem w/failure, malicious oil technician at work.
Majority oil changes used was Castrol 5w-30 in Winter & Summer use 10w-30. Tried Redline & Lucas once, but at the time only available by distributor.

10W-30 in summer?........Since I don't start mine below 50 degrees, that's what I am going to use and I am switching to Castrol.
town called, I think, Fuquay- Varina near Raleigh. Wish I had seen this , as I would have liked to have seen yours in person while picking mine up on our over nighter. Thanks for the share.Awesome !
Dave,
Hey David, I'll be in SC in a few weeks, maybe we can make that happen? As for the rest, let me know of some events. Depending on the weather, I've gotten to the point I don't like driven to bad weather when I'm in good weather or home in bad.
