Wow..what an incredible trip. When I got my car a year and 1/2 ago it needed an A/T trans at 223500. About 1000 mi later I replaced a worn cam and noisy lifters, also did a major tune.. My block and heads looked pristine (2 different techs said they looked like very low miles) and my radiator appeared new. I did not get any history with the car, but now I do know what I have under the hood. The rest of my car is in very good driver quality condition.

Got the pleasure of seeing c599's car today in person, and it looks incredible! Never knew he was so close by, the car hardly shows 70k miles, let alone 500k.
When he fired it up it sounded great, engine purred like a car fresh out of the factory, truly a testament to the c5 and LS engines
Here are some pics I've taken and will post the videos as soon as I can. Since I'm in the Carolinas, people wanted to see if any rust has appeared. I do & have driven it in the winter, just not as much as I use to.
Right corner shows damage from closing & opening.
Pic of where one of the oil leak(s) appears & like stated before, the other leak is the rear seal. Not causing any issues other than attention to cleaning. Not having to add any oil before oil change.

Reason: pics added
No rebuilt/s, engine opened once for upgrades in later/beginning 2001 w/mid cams & headers/exhaust. Cam & headers/exhaust got from a fellow Vetter who decided to go more extreme. Don't remember the specs, but didn't require any change in springs, injectors, & etc... More horses made through tuning after adds. Still original 3:15 gears, flywheel/timing chain. No problem yet, knock on wood.
