I need some information regarding the original destination charges for a C5. I'm most interested in the charges for a 2004. If it makes a difference, the car was originally delivered to a dealer in Dayton, Ohio.
Thanks for any input.
For my '02, it was $645 delivered to Medicine Lodge, Kansas. I would expect that back then, the C5 delivery charges depended on the distance from Bowling Green to the dealership that ordered the car. It may have been different based on the method of transportation (truck vs. rail).
I think today the destination charges are the same no matter where in the Lower 48 the car is delivered. Something like $900. Even if you do the R8C Museum Delivery, the delivery charge is still $900. For a 2-block distance.
My '87 was originally sold to GM Environmental Services with a $475 delivery charge to Warren Michigan.

Yes, the destination charges for a model year are the same regardless of where the car is being transported to. So the $800 shown on the window sticker that 8VETTE7 has would be the same for your car.
Why would you want to know the destination charge of a car that's 11+ years old?
Secondly, I remember "back in the day", GM used to base their delivery charges on the distance from the assembly plant to the dealer that ordered the car. However, sometime in the late 70s-early 80s, I believe it was, they went to a "flat" charge. In other words, it didn't matter if the receiving dealer was in the northern extreme of Washington state, or 10 miles down the street from the assembly plant, the delivery charge was the same....

I'm generating a build sheet using the Davies Corvette Parts site.
There is a member here,, TraceZ, who did an excellent job on doctoring the Davies Build Sheet to look factory original for me.
Contact him and see if he can hook you up !
Why don't you just order one from the Corvette Museum? They can generate both the window sticker and build sheet from the factory data.
Two reasons, First, the museum will generate the original build sheet, which would not reflect two changes made to the car. It's now a 2 top car and it now has polished wheels. It did not come from the factory that way. Second, is I'd have to pay $90 for a build sheet I'd have to modify. So, I went with the free site that permits the changes to be added.
Thanks to everyone who posted the dollar amounts. For 2004, the destination charge was $800. If anyone else is going to use this thread to create a build sheet using the Davies Corvette Parts site, there are some other years listed here with the destination charge for that year. Thanks for all the input.
