Just picked up an 04 6sp vert with 24k miles on it and it has the most obnoxious, rattling, crazy shifter I've ever encountered. Last C5 I had (04 Z06) I installed a Hurst short throw and it was much quieter than stock but far from quiet. I'm seeing Hurst, B&M, and now Hinson all in the game. I'm not a racer, but AM a "spirited" driver. Price aside, what's the quietest short shifter out there?
I installed a Hurst in my '01 coupe, back in '02. I don't really consider it "noisy", and I even installed the polyurethane shifter box bushings in it last year....
Bought an MGW last night. We'll see what the hype is about!
Keep us posted with your experience with the new shifter. i have stock shifter in my 2003 and looking between the Core Shifter with the Hurst Handle and Internals to the MGW.
FWIW, I have the Core Shifter - With the Hurst upper, and it rattles anything over 50% throttle. Its really irritating. I love the look 100 times better than the Hinson or MGW, but man, that rattle is mind numbing.

Thanks for the honest opinion. That would be a deal breaker for me for sure. Shame because it def looks the best by far.
