I always stop short of parking blocks, sometimes real short. Remember your Corvette is only 15 feet long so you have at least 2 feet to play with compared to a truck or normal car so your back end will not interfere with others in parking lot. Never use a parking block to stop your Corvette..stop short and save a expensive visit to the body shop.

Yep. If you hit the curb slowly at a drastic angle (over 45 degrees), it should avoid all scraping. It works for me every time. Only time I scrape is if I'm not paying attention, and hit it mostly head-on.

Epilogue . . .
I did three things to solve the problem:
1) Trimmed off about 1.5" from the front and side air dams
2) Installed "skid plate stiffeners"
3) Installed a front-view parking camera
