About a month ago i picked up my first Corvette. It's a Pewter 6spd wit 95k on it, only mods are an SLP intake and Slp Loudmouth axle back. Unfortunately 4 days after i brought it home it was backed into, which led to a week in the body shop for a new bumper I also took the time to fix the little c5 quirks that it had: e-brake was not working correctly, horn membrane was bad, tpms were bad, and i added the lmc5 after having the column lock up on me one day. I also had the engine oil, trans fluid and diff fluid all changed (used mobil 1 for everything, so far so good) Other than that i replaced the y2k wheels with some 18/19 C6z wheels and Hankook Ventus V12s in 275/305. Only thing i really need to do now is wrap or paint the hazed/peeling targa top, still undecided if i want to do the hoop black or not. Here she is after a full 3-stage detail this morning, looking pretty good for a 95k mile, 18 year old car!

Pewter is a gorgeous color on the C5. Congrats on getting your first Corvette. If it were me, I would not do the halo on the car - it looks great as is. If your top is not in good shape, wrapping it is not a bad way to go, especially if you don't want to go to the expense of just buying a used one that is in great condition.
