Low oil level HELP

Default Low oil level HELP

I know this is old deal ,I did some work on my 04 Z-06 and it popped on LOW OIL LEVEL ,anybody know how to turn it off been own for a week now. Thanks ..Driving me NUTS...

NO not a trick question have better things to do that ask dumb questions would hope you had better things to do that give dump replays ..right after I changed the oil it came on and YES I pushed the reset and pushed and pushed it still on ..

And you have obviously checked the level since it had time to circulate thru the motor?

Have you tryed running the car for a bit just to circulate things a bit,then reset it?

yea all the above ,put in 6 qts it's right at the full line on the stick ,I some times put 7 qts if going to the track ,I just installed new cam heads and oil pump ETC just top end deal put oil in new filter and BAM LOW oil deal came on I drove it 300 miles I keep pushing the reset it stays off for 5 miles and BAM back on .. I looked for some reset info all I can find is the reset on the dash ??

I had to use 6.5 quarts,maybe you need a little more.

I'll try that ,I did hop around the shop with one green sock on I hopped around the 04-Z the times sometime that works sometime not..lol

Yeah, throw in another 1/2 quart or so. These cars typically take 6.5 - 7 quarts.

Just an FYI I did do a complete top end on the 04 Z-06 ported the heads cam oil pump lifters chain Comp Mag. rollers rockers push rods I 'm sure there is something I missed .. Valve job .... Anybody got any questions on the deal I don't mine telling you what I know . I do all the work myself ... Just saying..

Did you try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes? Sometimes that resets things.

Just put in another Qt. going for a drive and see if that works ,I was thinking 7 might be too much oil ?? guess not .. I run 7 qt but thinking the deal was full on the stick 6 was good , was thinking I put too much in maybe not .. ?? If that does it well 7 it is .. Still going to hop one more time around the 04 to make sure. Never know..

Update: still on ,I put in another Qt. it has 7 in now drove 10 miles every 3 miles pops on so I'll drive it a few days and see what happens then get a new sensor
,thanks for all the input just an FYI it did this once before and it took a month of driving before it went off and why it came on in the first place was I was driving up some steep hills and Bam came on ,I was hoping I could speed up the process this time with some input I guess the 04 going to do what it going to do ..Thanks for all the help.. New sensor for sure this is getting old and all the hopping ..Thanks..

Update : still on LOL ^&*() and %^&*( went today and got a new one from Chevy dealer in Sugarland TX. $23.95 changing the oil anyway for the LMR tune next week ,been reading up on the thing says if take it out and clean it up prop work gets junk from sitting it the oil but for $23.95 try new one ,way too much work to drain the oil ECT. just to see if it will work . Prop. still take a day or two to go off I'll find out .. Next thing looking for is rear tires OMG HOT ROD for sure.. Not even had a tune yet ..
