Anyone have experience with removing aftermarket sticky "CORVETTE" letter inserts in the rear bumper? They were on it when I bought the car, but I want to remove them. Any tips before I start working on it this weekend? I'm thinking start with a hair dryer and then use something to remove any glue residue?
I have used a heat gun (hair drier will work) and then I used goo-gone to remove glue. There are other products that will remove glue residue. If you can get into the letters a lot of the adhesives can be just rubbed off with pressure and using WD40 or something like it.
Good luck with your repair.

Hair dryer will soften the adhesive, then once you have the letters off, WD-40 or rubbing alcohol can be used to get any residue off the fascia. As mentioned, goo-gone is also an option.
Make sure you test the adhesive remover in an inconspicuous spot on your car, lest you remove finish with the adhesive!
As an alternate to the goo-gone and such, try some duct tape--stick a little duct tape on the adhesive (soften with heat gun first), then pull it up. Repeated applications will pull up a bit more adhesive each time.
Agree with testing before using Goo Gone. Another product I've used (but not on the Vette) is Goof Off. But test it first.
Whatever chemical you use, wash off with water immediately after use. The residue can do damage when you think it's all gone.
I use a steam cleaner to remove factory badges. A hairdryer or heat gun would work too. Just be careful and don't get things too hot and you'll be fine.
Park in sun 15 minutes, peal off using toothpick to get them started. Finish with 3M automotive adhesive remover. Put a coat wax on. Done. Takes 20 minutes.
