Default recent mods/repairs

Recently went to the drag's on a whim with some friends.
It didnt start so well, instantly snapped something.

Turns out I twisted clean in half the drivers output shaft.

I replaced both shafts with c6 shafts. I also went ahead and put c6 clutch packs in it with the c6 beefier springs. Hopefully this works out better for me.

While I had everything apart, I also took a peak at my torque tube couplers, which looked in fine condition, but I already ordered these prothane six shooters since I really thought that was what originally failed. So I went ahead and installed them both.

Finally, to help prevent future damage, I installed the former DTE now HPE trans brace.

Now everything is almost buttoned up back in the car. I should have it running tomorrow and I have another drag race planned this coming saturday.

Tough luck at the track, but sounds like your repairs should keep you up and running for quite a while.

Yep...racing = $

The faster the car, the more $. Just the way it is.

Looks like you have things well in hand...will be interested in hearing your results...good luck!

TraviZ06, sorry to hear about your bad luck at the track. Thanks for the mention on the new product you added to improve your time and durability at the track. Look forward to seeing your new video laying down some smoking times.

That trans brace is impressive. Good luck at the strip.
