I might have a picture.
The Blockits black textured top layer looks good but in a lighter interior I could see why you might want to cover it. If you have an aftermarket rug you can lay it right over the Blockit cargo mat. the pieces behind the saet are not seen so there's no worry there.

So if you lay this over a subwoofer, you just nullified your subwoofer, right?
I would say it depends were your sub is located. If it is the rear center storage section (were mine was mounted) you could just not use that section of the BlockIt and allow the sub to do it's job.
