TPMS Sensors
Does anybody know if the sensors are reusable after the batteries finally die out. I thought I read one time someone wanted the old sensors, maybe they could install new batteries. Doable, I have 9 sensors, or just throw them out.

The units are sealed but can be cut open and new batteries installed. I believe there is a write up on the forum on how to do it.
Personally, I wouldn't hassle with it, but it's your choice. The 'newer' sensors are even smaller that OEM, less mass and very available, and no mess.

The '97-00 ones, being the more expensive style, are usually the better candidates (cost wise) for trying to replace the batteries. You will occasionally see a post in the Parts for Sale section for someone wanting old, non-working sensors.
