Sounds like the dealer removed the locking part on the steering wheel as part of a recall. Search column lock bypass (clb). You will want to do more than the dealer did because it can still fail. Most popular bypass is the lmc5 that you install in the passengers foot well fuse panel. TMPS is probably due to dead batteries in the sensors. Hope you can enjoy it before the snow flies.
The C5 is such an improvement over the old C3, its like day and night
And I loved my old C3 too
