Default Another g5x3 post

OK so I can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. My plan so far is to get the g5x3 cam and keep the stock ls6 heads (with dual Springs of course) but I need to know if 112 lsa will clear the pistons. The heads will not be milled just polished. It's going in an 02 z

I believe there's 2 G5x3 cams, one with 114lsa and 112.

The 114 fits with no fly cutting of the Pistons, the other has to have the Pistons done.
Or vice versa, have to look at my cam to see which is which, don't remember off the top of my head.
Have the cam here myself, I purchased the one that does not require the cutting.

I dont think you will have an issue with 114 not sure about 112, try a search, a lot of people have run that cam.

I've done multiple searches and found multiple answers. I read that the 112 will fit with a slightly thicker gasket but I can't find the post again

you will not have any issue with either 114 or 112 lsa on the g5x3 cam, thats is quite a small/mild cam, on stock ls6 long block

You don't have to fly cut the pistons with a 112. I have a different came but it has a 112 LSA and no fly cut.
