I finally got busy with the 2000 convertible I bought in May. I flushed the cooling system and put in new coolant, changed the oil and filter, and removed the wheels, cleaned and waxed them and flushed the brake system.
I then washed the car with soap and water (gasp), used the claybar on it, and buffed the paint. It now looks a lot better.
Now I need to do the same to the 2002 Z06 and the 1991.
Why? So it looks like yours? Unless you track or only drive it to shows. lowering is a bad idea. If you want to take it on road trips and actually drive it, stock is the way to go. As for the BSM, some like it, some don't and some don't care either way. It's up to him.
I am going to leave the 2000 convertible stock.
My Z06 is lowered quite a bit and has a much harsher ride, plus it can be a pain going into parking lots and over speed bumps, as it has long tube headers, which make the cats sit really low. I have 4 inches of ground clearance at the rockers and 3 1/2 inches at the cats, which help protect the rockers, but the cats are scraped up a bit.
My 1991 is basically stock except for the supercharger and dual intercoolers.
The 2000 convertible is just a nice, pleasant cruiser to take out on nice days with the top down. It is not as fast as the other two but I do not care.

Lowered a little bit hardly makes a difference on where you can drive these cars. My car is still at stock ride height actually, so lowering it would make it look less like mine. I just think it would look better without BSM's, sorry if you disagree

Lowering them does make a difference if you take road trips and bring anything with you. A passenger and luggage and you're on the ground. To drive in the real world these cars are low enough.
I don't agree or disagree about BSM. It's his car and he may like them. If he does then he should keep them.
