I have had both C6 and went back to a C5. I had headers and gears on a M6 C6 ran 11.9 @ 119 in the quarter. Yea electronic are newer and had the LS3 but traded it in for $$$ issues.

I miss the power and wanted to do things better this time found a procharged C5 Auto with 3.42 gears, same aerodynamics with 42,000 miles on the body. Has a forged LS6 with patriot 243 heads Fast 102 intake. Its not a DD because the gas mileage is not good around town but it is a blast to drive. I can keep up with just about anything on the Road. Granted I had to put some $$$ in this car, to get it to run right, but to me it is a project car.

The base C6 is nice with the bigger LS3 I made 415/430 on a mustang dyno with LG super pros tune and 3.90 gears in Fla heat. But the C5 now has more power and fun to drive.

The information available on this forum is very valuable in fixing electrical problems on a C5. I am very proud of myself being able to fix the starter electrical issues which had plagued me and finding problems and now fixing them. I guess it all depends in what u want to do. Bragging rights gets Old after a while with newer cars though.
