you got a lot of good responses for our CF friends. I have learned a lot from Tirerack.com. I attached their link regarding their Tire information page. They even have videos on tires testing. good stuff. check it out...

But I may do the conversion to the newer sensors and controllers.
I just ditched the GY runflats on my 99' convertible and went with Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 tires. Couldn't be happier. Nice smooth, comfortable ride with increased handling over the GY's. Check tirerack.com for brands and ratings. Good source for info...

I am running Hankook non-runflat tires also, Just carry an inflator and a plug kit and you will never be stranded, also carry the AAA Card as well

I purchased Titan sensors for my 2000 and had them installed at Discount Tire while they were installing Bridgestone RE760's. Love the tires and I activated the sensors using a magnet after I got home.
