Default Thinking about.....

Removing the front bolts to get more of a drop in the front. Rear height is perfect w longer bolts outback. For those of you who have removed the front bolts have you had any problems? Would love to see some pics of your rides and the height with the front bolts removed.

if you have good roads and few potholes or speed bumps, you'll probably be fine. Cool look I suppose, but I'd think it would scrape on everything.

I wouldnt think you would have any major problems. Ride quality may not be as good as before but it will look better lowered. If you have good roads where you live and you drive carefully you will be ok. Only reason I havent lowered mine is because I'm going to install a splitter soon, the C5R Lip, so lowering the car plus adding a splitter wouldnt be a good idea for me.

I've got mine cranked down a bit on lowering bolts, and I can't even get into my garage without high centering. My car rides remarkably well for being lowered compared other lowered vehicles that I have had, but there is no way I would consider this on Chicago roads!

If you wanted to go that low, I'd only consider it with coil-overs; and I hope you have small wheels with lots of rubber.

Yeah I am lowered as far as it can go with bolts on front. I just love that lowered look on these rides. I think it just compliments the c5zo6 so well. I am riding on stock rims sizes. I actually am considering trying this out and if it works wiuld possibly give consideration to coil overs. Anybody have any pics of there ride with no front bolts?

I would suggest going with the coil overs like stated above if you go that low. The car isn't meant to be like that and it will show in the ride quality. I'm going to say you won't like it much if you decide to remove them. That's just my thoughts though.

Even though Its not a DD. I am thinking maybe I give it a try with bolts out and see how much of trouble I have trying to get around town and up my driveway with the front that low. If it's to much of a problem I can just put some new bolts for the front. If I can deal with it that low then I will go with coil overs. Thanks for the pics Jetz. Awesome looking ride.👍

Default It’s a high performance sports car

Lowering it compromises the performance.

No front bolts. You might hear a slight creaking noise when turning at low speed but no structural issues. Get an alignment tho asap

I went with extended bolts in the rear and cut pads in the front. Probably not as low as you want, but certainly low enough for me. I have approximately 1-1/4" of wheel gap, 3/4" rake front to rear. I didn't want to compromise handling quality with going crazy low on shocks/springs and wasn't ready to drop the coin on coilovers. I did install Bilstein Sport shocks which made a huge positive difference in ride quality/handling. Especially with being about 2.5" lower then stock.

I also recommend investing in elite engineering rocker guards and front fang wheels/guards. A little added insurance if you're gonna be so low. That's what I did. Thankfully, I haven't exercised either guard yet.

JETZ/Frank, your car is SOO low. I love it....but my butt would pucker every time I drove over a crack in the road, let alone normal road obstacles. Cheers to you for your bravery
