Default Window Valet Problem

When pushing the lock key fob button three times to close the windows, the windows go up, then the horn honks three times and the windows go back down. After multiple times of pushing the lock key fob button three times, the windows finally stay up. Has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone have a cure to the problem? Thanks

Try resetting the window up limit.

simply turn on ignition and then push the up button and hold it for about 5 seconds.
Do both sides

When I first installed the Valet, it did the same thing. I removed the device and waited a few minutes. Inserted the device again and did the learning mode following instructions. Then it worked. Hopefully it will work for you.

I did the resetting the window up limit by simply turning on ignition and then pushed the up button and held it for about 5 seconds. First on the drivers window and then the passenger window.

It worked perfectly.......thanks.

Somebody beat me to it but yes, a simple limit reset works just fine. Mine did the same. I love my valet

Stupid question....
Do I remove the thing-a-ma-jig that's in the OBD2?
I read the instructions but dosen't say whither or not to remove it after configuration

what is in the OBD2 port?

You simply plug in the widow valet as nothing should be there already.
If something is already there, it is probable another window valet that is left over from another owner. Then you follow the programing (validation) procedure.

E-Mailed Top Down and they said for it to work you have to leave it in. You can remove it if you need to use the OBD2 but you have to reinsert it if you want to use the features. So good to know. Feel kinda' stupid like I should have known but like I said before, the Instructions don't specify one way or the other.
A cool product that I can see being useful to me.
