Be ready for some chunky curb weights if they go full electric. The Model 3 is 3600-4000lb from what I just looked up. The Model S is a huge porker. They're unstoppable in a straight line, but batteries are HEAVY.

Based on current technology, there are some issues to deal with. Don't underestimate the new technology of the near future. I've raced electric RC cars for 40 years and the advancements in the last 10 years have been at warp speed. I'm betting there will be some unimaginable advances in electric cars in the next 10 years. That doesn't mean that the performance cars of today won't have a special place on the road in the future.
