Ouch!! Not good. And I'm sure they didn't report it. Too bad there aren't any surveillance cameras on the lot to record incidents like this. Sorry about your loss... I would be p&ssd too....
Ugh. On base is one of the worst places for people to do things like this too. You'd figure what with a core value being "integrity" that the perp would leave info, track you down, etc, but that NEVER seems to be the case. Had a similar incident happen back in.......2003 I think. Someone in my squadron parking lot clipped my Trans Am. Never had anyone step up.
Fortunately the damage doesn't look too bad. Hopefully you get her patched up quickly.
Hopefully someone on base saw something or comes forward. If it's anything like my parking situation on base, I see the same cars all the time, so maybe you'll see something with some fresh damage. Unfortunately when someone smashed my rear bumper they did it in a parking lot in town, instead of on base, so I never figured out who did that.
And it was one of the "guys". Vettes are very low and when backing up, they just didn't see it. I was always afraid that would happen to me parking with old people, who can't turn their heads.
When you get the fender and fascia removed, have the driver's fender liner inspected (or just inspect it yourself). You would be surprised how easily it is damaged in minor fender-bender accidents since it's such a large piece. It's "glued" to the car and proper attachment and condition helps to dictate how the fender aligns.

It is amazing how often this happens. Every few weeks someone posts a new thread about their Vette getting run into. Shows how important it is to use best judgement when determining a parking spot if you have a choice..
Crapola!!! Not a good way to start off the Holiday season!
Hope you have a much better Christmas day and thanks for your service!
Best of luck on getting it repaired.

Sorry.
Or from a young person who does not give a s**T with their truck!
When you take it in for an estimate, you might see if the body shop can match the blue paint left on your bumper. Then you might be able to narrow it down a bit to a make/model/year to keep your eyes pealed for.

Tough luck on the damage to your car - but as you said perhaps a chance to get a TigerShark front fascia. Maybe try Marc at VetteNuts for the other parts that need to be replaced.
Go to base legal office and see if you can file a claim...
Nice idea but unless it can be proven the other vehicle was a government vehicle, any claim filed will be denied. The government has no responsibility to cover these types of incidents unless they are at fault.
This is why they require all vehicles to have insurance. Which is a joke.
Back when they required base passes and stickers for all vehicles, they required people to show proof of insurance. Not anymore, they no longer require passes and stickers, just a photo ID at the gate. You have no idea if vehicles around you carry insurance.
Which is why I park way out in the back 40......: ack:
Good luck getting it repaired and with better luck you find the person responsible....
