Another ATF Fluid Question
I owned a 2013 2500HD and went on a fluid changing spree. During my hunt for fluids I came across Castrol Transynd. Allison had found out at one point that Dex VI was too corrosive and was eating away at seals in the Allison transmissions. Eventually that was fixed by Allison with new seals and Dex VI was good to go (longer story behind this). Even so during my research I came across an Allison engineer on one of the forums who validated the fluids and helped design the specs. Castrol Transynd was rated highly, I had to agree with the way my tranny felt in my HD and also due the the fact that the change interval was somewhere around 150k, not that I would wait that long but thats just me.
So this got me thinking since I just changed out my auto transmission to dex VI and was wondering what the long term effect would be and if the 4l60E was validated against VI. I know it says its backwards compatible with III but thats at the fluid level.
Not that I am going to go dump all the fluid and jump off a bridge about this but has anyone considered running Transynd? Warning its expensive as all can be. I had to buy 5 gallons when I did my Duramax fluid change and my pocket book yelled at me.

Here is the product sheet.

Just food for thought.
