Congrats... in one of the pics I think I can see a clutch fluid reservoir... thus it's a manual trans... That being the case you need to be sure the Column Lock issue has been resolved. The ONLY way to do that is with an LMC5 module... see if it's been done or order one from Compliance Parts and INSTALL it.

FRC's tend to have these issues, and if you have any concerns please fill free to PM. Have fun brother !!
I've read a lot about the drip rail cracks, here are pics from my 02Z, is this what you are talking about and if so what exactly do I buy to correct this and future issues?
Thanks

Might be where you are squeak/squealing from.
I checked both the idler pulley and tensioner and both spin like crazy! So, I think I'm in your same boat and both need to get replaced or regressed (not sure price on a new one but if they are affordable I will just replace). I did spray some water on the harmonic balancer and the noise went away, so I think the best is also going bad. I will replace the belt today and see if the squeal goes away.

Is there a quick way to find out if the column lock issue has been resolved? I did ask the previous owner and he hadn't done it but it might have been done before he bought it.

After watching a few videos on wobbly harmonic balancer a I don't think mine is there yet. It doesn't really wobble. I think what I was seeing was just the slight movement of the engine running. This is good as it sounds like it is quite the task to replace the harmonic balancer. Unfortunately I'm not the most mechanically inclined. Replacing a belt or pulley is about as far as I can go with the tools and experience at hand.
