It truly is amazing! I am on my 16th year in my 2001, but I have driven it almost every day since I bought it since it is my only car. Still looks and runs like the day I bought it - actually better! I owned 9 other Corvettes previously and most I only kept 3-4 years. This C5 was my first Vette where I had a "garage" - that makes all the difference (in addition to maintenance). All my other cars I had while living in apartments were looking pretty bad after about 3 years or so.

Congrats on keeping yours looking so great!

My wife and I left the church in the T/A, and when my son got married 5 years ago, he and his wife left their church in it also. My wife is battling stage 4 colon cancer now, so I'll be getting it out in the spring so we can do some cruising on days she feels like it.
I hope the wife is doing well, she will be in my prays. My wife went through cancer surgery this past September also.

Thanks, I'll be praying for your wife too. We spent almost 8 hours getting chemo today, then to finish the last type she has to wear a pump for 46 more hours. She'll be sick now for about a week then she starts feeling better for a few days. Then it starts all over again.

I have dad's 98, which he bought new, 18000 miles. I still have my 97 Tahoe (bought new in May 97), 150,000 miles. The Tahoe has had a lot of expensive repairs the last couple years but I keep fixing it. It seems to be one of the very few left of that vintage that isn't rusted out.

Mine is also 18 years old, but I am the second owner. A mere 37000 miles and she runs like she was new!!!
