Default C5 vert amp ground

Upgrading the audio in my C5 vert and plan to put the amp in the center rear tub. Looking for advise on what to use as a grounding point in this location. Thinking about using the point where the power antenna is grounded.

I have my amp up behind my waterfall. Ran the ground wire up inside the waterfall and grounded it there. Have the power coming from the battery and running under center console. Everything is hidden and tight. I can takes some pics this weekend and send them to you?

Pictures are always helpful thanks, I've thought about that location. The spot in the trunk where the cd changer goes seems to make since because there is already a cut out in the carpet, and I can use those bolts to mount a piece of MDF to attach the amp to.

I did the the same and built a amp rack that goes all the way across. With amp in the middle.

Here are couple of pictures. I had used a piece of MDF and wrapped it in a piece of hide that matched my light oak. I used heavy duty Velcro to fasten to the carpet. The amp is screwed to the MDF. It's been there for three years with no issues. All the wiring is concealed and did not cut the carpet. Hope this helps.

Very nice, wrapping the MDF was a nice touch. The pictures do help thanks very much. Reconsidering that spot or behind the passenger seat. Rear tub still my first choice, but both other options make for a much shorter ground to the passenger seat bolt.

You might try searching the audio forum, there are lots of great threads with pics there.
